Glad launches new musical number “I Love Trash — The Remix feat. Oscar the Grouch”

Oscar the Grouch is starring in a new musical number of the classic song “I Love Trash,” where Oscar is joined in song by others who love trash as much as he does.

Why Oscar?

No one knows trash like Oscar. And with Oscar, Glad is showing consumers that messes aren’t something to stress over — they’re something to Get Glad about (with the right bag, of course). Oscar brings humor and a little grouchy charm, while Glad delivers the dependability and strength that make messes stress-free. Together, they transform the conversation around trash into something we can laugh about.

How the campaign comes to life

In partnership with both U.S. and Canada Glad teams, the campaign kicks off with the musical number “I Love Trash — The Remix feat. Oscar the Grouch.” Multiple variations of the musical number will remind consumers that even the grumpiest messes are no match for Glad. It’s a celebration of life’s little disasters, wrapped in humor and a touch of joy.

It will run in the U.S. and Canada as longform content, 30s and 15s cutdowns, and social teasers on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit (in Canada only). Follow along @gladproducts on Instagram and TikTok.

What’s next

Glad has created limited-edition Oscar-inspired trash bag totes for a fun social activation.

Special Edition Glad bag boxes featuring Oscar and his friend Slimey will be available for sale next Spring.
