Recognizing Brita for expanding access to lead filtration of water

By Jess Dillon, Senior Communications Manager – People&

As a leader in at-home water filtration products for more than 30 years, Brita is committed to providing more equitable access to great-tasting filtered water.

In this role, we advocate for expanding lead-reducing filtration to communities in need by partnering with municipalities and water utilities organizations across the U.S. to provide cost-effective, research-backed solutions to help improve public health.

In recognition of this work, our colleague Dan Tudesco, associate director of community water systems, was recognized recently as one of waterloop’s Hydro20 honorees for being a trailblazer in the water sector that’s challenging convention, driving meaningful change, and making a lasting impact for good.

Out of more than 140 nominations, Dan was selected as the honoree in the Corporate category in recognition of his work partnering with over 320 communities across the U.S. to combat lead contamination in drinking water. Through these partnerships, Brita is supporting access to filters during the critical transition period after lead service line replacements, addressing the ongoing risk of lead contamination and transforming moments of uncertainty into safety and support.

As we face growing challenges in this sector, Brita is committed to continuing to support affected communities through tailored solutions offering industry-leading expertise, a wide range of distribution options, and a dedicated inventory of consumer-tested products.
