Celebrating 45 years of helping communities thrive

By Nichelle Rachal, Associate Director, Community Relations – People&

Since its founding in 1980, The Clorox Company Foundation’s mission has been clear: to foster healthy and inclusive communities so that people can be well and thrive.
Over the years, our commitment to health security has guided our philanthropic focus, with support going toward youth development and education, community wellness and sustainability, and disaster relief. From global public health initiatives to grassroots programs in the neighborhoods where our teammates live and work, we remain driven by the belief that wellness and opportunity are universal rights.
As we commemorate this milestone, we want to celebrate the power of collective action. Our teammates have given generously through our GIFT employee giving program and more than 1.6 million volunteer hours across communities. We’ve also partnered with nonprofit organizations doing transformational work — whether helping youth gain access to STEM or education or supporting local wellness and disaster-preparedness efforts.
I’m proud of all that the foundation has accomplished in nearly half a century of service to our communities. But it’s even more meaningful for you to hear directly from some of our longstanding partners about how we’ve helped support their missions:
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey: our teammates, our nonprofit partners and our community stakeholders. Because of your dedication, The Clorox Company Foundation stands strong, ready to continue championing wellness and helping future generations thrive.
Here’s to the next 45 years of leading with love and purpose.
