Stories from our people: Liliana Rodriguez

Liliana Rodriguez is a learning management coordinator within our supply chain team, who oversees training and orientations for new teammates at our North Carolina plant. “It’s fascinating to see how hard people study, and to see them grow,” Liliana says.

She’s also involved with three different Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) within Clorox. “This company is so inclusive. We have different cultures here, different languages, and you can include your culture in our ERG events,” says Liliana. “I’ve been involved in HOLA, our Latino group, since 2018 and now I lead it. We have fun and we have a big event for Hispanic Heritage Month. Then we have CelebrASIA, which celebrates Asian culture, and I help with PRIDE, too,” she adds. “Everywhere you go at Clorox, you see positive people. And I think it’s because they’re happy and feel included.”

Liliana takes inclusion to heart—and to ears, too. “I ask my coworkers for music recommendations for our ERG event playlists, because we have people from all over—the Philippines, Honduras, Laos, you name it. I like to incorporate their culture and their music so they can feel included and special.”

When you pair hard work with an inclusive workplace, results tend to follow—and Liliana is ready when they do. “We have an award that we give every month that’s called Head, Heart, and Guts,” she says. “We recognize an employee who excelled in those categories, and we choose a winner per shift and honor them. I think it’s a great way to celebrate success.”
