As an EHS senior compliance engineer, I ensure worker safety, maintain health standards, and ensure environmental compliance with our governmental regulations. Basically, my role at Clorox is to keep people safe.
I’ve been here two years now, and I felt welcomed from day one. That’s what carries me to this day — people ask about how you’re doing, and even at the start of meetings we’re just checking up on each other before we really get down to brass tacks. I haven’t felt any of that in my previous workplaces. That really shows Clorox’s commitment to people — they put people at the center.
The company fosters a culture of integrity, trust, and inclusivity, which really creates a safe space for all teammates to be innovative and to really be themselves. I’ve been able to work on innovative projects, grow my skillset from a technical sense, and also just strengthen my leadership skills. I was even recently promoted to lead compliance strategy and program development to translate complex regulations into everyday practices that keep teammates safe and our impact responsible.
I always believe in keeping people safe and ensuring that they go home safely every day. That really aligns with the values here at Clorox. We impact people’s lives directly. We keep workers safe and also ensure environmental compliance, which protects our communities locally and around the world.
Every time I go to the store and I see Clorox products, I’m really excited that I had an effect on them. Even though I’m not inventing new products, by supporting the projects I helped to get them to the shelf.
