How The Clorox Company Foundation turned celebration into action in 2025

By Nichelle Rachal, Associate Director— Social Impact

Last fall, we celebrated 45 years of The Clorox Company Foundation helping communities thrive. As we look back on 2025, that milestone year stands as a powerful example of how the Foundation continues to evolve, engage teammates, and invest in long-term community health.

By the numbers

In 2025, The Clorox Company Foundation:

  • Donated nearly $3.7 million to approximately 4,200 nonprofit organizations.
  • Engaged more than 62% of eligible teammates in giving and participation.
  • Expanded its disease-prevention work with a $350,000 multi-year investment in Samuel Merritt University to strengthen healthcare access and improve community health outcomes.

Since 1980, the Foundation has donated nearly $150 million in support of healthy and inclusive communities. Since 2006, Clorox teammates have contributed more than 1.6 million volunteer hours (equivalent to nearly $55 million). This collective impact reflects our sustained commitment to helping our communities thrive backed by a community of teammates who consistently choose to show up.

Turning 45 into a movement

A defining feature of the Foundation’s 45th anniversary is expanded teammate activation. Over 18 months, eligible teammates received $45 account seedings, empowering them to direct funds to causes they care about most. Through the “Vote With Your Dollars” campaign, teammates collectively directed funding to nonprofits, culminating in five organizations each receiving a $25,000 grant. With more than 62% participation in 2025, teammate engagement continues to be one of the Foundation’s greatest strengths.

Advancing health and supporting disaster response

In 2025, the Foundation deepened its focus on disease prevention through its investment in Samuel Merritt University, supporting programs that strengthen healthcare access and improve community health outcomes.

The year also marked 45 years of partnership with the American Red Cross. As an Annual Disaster Giving Program partner, The Clorox Company has supported response and recovery efforts through both financial contributions and essential products. As the Red Cross shared:

“The Clorox Company has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us through countless emergencies. Their impact? Over 1 million bottles of Clorox bleach — our second most requested item after disasters — and $17 million in support to help families rebuild and recover.”

Forty-five years after its founding, The Clorox Company Foundation continues to focus on building healthy, inclusive communities. As we move into 2026, the Foundation remains grounded in its purpose — and energized by the teammates and partners who help bring it to life every day.
