History of the Foundation
Since its inception in 1980, the Foundation has focused on supporting
programs that serve youth, kindergarten through 12th grade education,
cultural and civic organizations, local needs in plant communities
and organizations in which Clorox employees are involved.
The Foundation funds innovative approaches to systemic problems and
provides general support for program operations. For more detailed information, read the Foundation Annual Report (PDF).
Our Partnership with the East Bay Community Foundation
In 2002, we forged a partnership with the East Bay Community
Foundation (EBCF) in the administration of our grants. Founded
in 1928, the East Bay Community Foundation is a public foundation
that has built an excellent reputation as an agent for increasing
charitable giving in the East Bay and other communities. It brings
a wealth of knowledge and expertise in grant-making and donor
support. Along with the help of the East Bay Community Foundation,
we assure you of the continued strong commitment of The Clorox
Company Foundation to help improve the quality of life in communities
where Clorox employees live and work.
