involvement is an integral part of our business and is carried
out through a program of grant-making, volunteerism and leadership

The Clorox Company Foundation endorses the Standards of Excellence
in Community Relations, developed by the Boston College Center
for Corporate Community Relations. The center
honored Clorox in March 1998 as the first company to adopt the
standards.

Humble Beginnings
|
|
|
On May 3, 1913, five Oakland, Calif., entrepreneurs
invested $100 apiece to set up America's first commercial-scale
liquid bleach factory on the east side of San Francisco Bay. In
1914, they named their product Clorox® bleach.
