Keep it simple — Avoid multiple fonts, type sizes and
text boxes. Modern hiring systems recognize basic fonts such as Arial, Helvetica
and Times New Roman most easily; using those fonts, therefore, will increase the likelihood
of your resume being scanned accurately. Recruiters and hiring managers usually
prefer bullet points rather than long paragraphs describing your experience for
each position. Most resumes should not exceed two pages. Generally, you don't need
to provide a lot of detail about jobs older than ten years.

Proofread — Use spell check and carefully proofread your
resume a few times before submitting it. You may want to enlist a friend with a
fresh set of eyes.

Omit irrelevant personal information — Do not tell us
about your marital status, religion or other information that doesn't relate to
the job. |
